Inside Our Client Experience



Once you contact us through our project inquiry form, we will follow up through email or phone, depending on your preference, in order to learn more about your project. Then we will schedule an in-home consultation to discuss your needs, see the space, and and learn about your style preferences.


Letter of Agreement

After our visit, we will send a custom letter of agreement detailing the scope of the work we discussed. It will also include design work timeline, cost of requested design services, and an outline of our design process. It will also request your signature and a small retainer in order to begin the work.


Project Start

As we celebrate the start of our creative collaboration, we will begin with a pre-design visit to your home. This is so we can record important measurements, take photos, and assess the existing conditions and parameters.



During the design conceptualization phase, we will decide which part of the project to work on first, and what our potential aesthetic directions are based on our conversations. We follow an intuitive process to visualize the new space through space planning and artistically bring elements of color, pattern, and texture into the design.



When presenting our design options, we will meet at your home to discuss the full vision behind each concept and record your reactions. At the end of each meeting, we will determine which options are preferred and others that need refinement or a new direction before it is an ideal fit. This design and meeting process is repeated until all design selections are made based on what is included in our scope of work.



With your design selections finalized, we are ready to collaborate with contractors, installers and vendors, starting with design documentation. This stage will consist of three parts: construction drawings, spec writing, and merchandise proposal writing. Construction drawings and specs will speak the contractors’ language, requiring great attention to numerous details that we will handle. The furnishings proposal lists each item we will be providing and their prices, acting as a financial document with a client payment deposit. We will also prepare a custom notebook with samples and photos of your selections for your records.



In this stage, we turn over any construction documents to contractors for estimation. We will also do a walk-through meeting with you and the contractor to gain a better understanding of the project and answer any questions before estimating. After construction begins, we will answer questions and troubleshoot any issues that arise at the site. For proposed furnishings our team will place and track orders, and coordinate all of the details from delivery to a warehouse through final installation in your home. We are your advocates throughout the entire design execution process.
