Master Suite Color Story

Blue is a favorite of these clients. Floor tile with the feeling of flowing water is warmed by soft peach tones and white oak. Sensuous curved details appeal to the body. Colors brighten and clarify as you move into the bedroom.

Art Deco Powder Bath

This powder bath has all of the Deco touches — streamlined shapes, stepped details and the classic green associated with the period. Originally a pantry, this remodel required a unique solution for mirror placement.

Vintage Vibe Kitchen

This complete kitchen remodel retains the footprint from its last 1960s remodel. Removing the original 1920 swinging door between the kitchen and dining room allowed the addition of shallow storage cabinets and hidden trash space. Design choices underscore the vintage touches throughout the house that made the homeowners first fall in love with it. Textured flooring, counters and backsplash suggest the patina of time in this serene space.

Vacation Home

This Orlando, FL furnishing project gave a gracious, welcoming feel to this newer home with Mediterranean bones and simpler detailing that leans toward contemporary. To balance out the dark metal windows with the light backdrop, dark woods and metals were added sparingly throughout. These darker pieces also add a taste of Old Florida romance.

Condo Remodel

This Des Moines, IA design features finishes selected to visually heighten a low ceiling and to draw attention to the client’s world class art collection. Clean lined furnishings allow the art and stone fireplace cladding with fish fossils to remain the center of attention. This project received a ‘Best in Show’ ASID award.

Partial Kitchen Remodel

Though it looks brand new, this SE Minneapolis townhouse kitchen retains the original footprint and base cabinets. Poorly planned upper cabinets left a choppy look and interrupted the flow of counter space. Painting the base cabinets, designing new uppers and changing the counters and backsplash updated the look.

Hardy Sophistication

The beauty of these new furnishings and fabrics reflect the Minneapolis client’s love of textiles. Hardworking finishes are laboring in the background to welcome small grandchildren. Glass, metal, painted and distressed wood finishes, along with permanent fabric protection save the day.

Drawing Attention

We worked with the architect to create a work of art to showcase works of art for this Minnetonka family. Their drawing collection requires close viewing for appreciation, so we used architectural detailing and finishes to draw you up close. Furniture arrangements in the formal living space provide many places to perch during large parties.

This project won an ASID award.

Children’s Study Space

We converted this alcove into a homework space for two small children in Deephaven. We designed the desks to grow in height as the kids grow. A second set of taller legs realigns the design with the corner cabinets when the kids grow. The design encourages concentration by facing the desks away from each other, and using enough color to attract their interest but not enough to overwhelm.
